Trafficking and Exploitation for Child Welfare: From Awareness to Action Part 1
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Define sexual exploitation and labor trafficking of children and youth, including key legal, cultural, and practice definitions.

Explain the relevant child welfare policies, federal and state laws.

Differentiate between types of exploitation.

Use trauma informed communication techniques when engaging with trafficked or at-risk youth.

Accurately determine when a screening referral is needed for a child or youth as outlined in policy.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary organizations to serve children and youth impacted by exploitation.
This training will enhance your ability to identify, respond to, and serve children and youth experiencing sexual exploitation and/or labor trafficking through trauma-informed and collaborative practices.
Completion of the course confers 6 credit hours.
