Domestic Violence in Child Welfare
This training focuses on domestic violence in child welfare cases, and the policies and best practices outlined in the Social Worker's Practice Guide to Domestic Violence. Participants will gain knowledge and skills specific to four core areas: universal and periodic screening for domestic violence, conducting a specialized DV assessment, engagement and accountability with DV perpetrators, and safety planning with families experiencing DV. Participants will learn knowledge as well as skills for applying the knowledge.
