Understanding how adversity shapes the developing brain is crucial for those supporting children who have experienced trauma. This training discusses the concept of the predictive brain—how all of our past experiences, particularly adverse ones, influence how we perceive and respond to the world around us. This presentation will cover specific, evidence-informed building blocks for developing resilience (from CRIresilient.org) — practical components that caregivers can encourage to help rewire the brain’s predictions, promote healing, and build safety and hope.
